Delete your TimeLine account

1. Delete it in the app

• Open TimeLine and go to your TimeVault.
• Tap the settings cog at the top right.
• Open Account and tap Delete account.
• Confirm. Your account is deleted right away.

2. Ask us to delete it

If you no longer have the app, or can't sign in, email [email protected] from the email address on your account. Use the subject "Delete my account" and include your username. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address, and we will delete the account within 30 days.

3. What gets deleted

Your profile, TimeVault, moments, comments, likes and other reactions, follows, direct messages, group posts, TimeCapsules, uploaded photos, videos and audio, push tokens and the rest of your account data are deleted from our database right away. Copies in our backups are removed within 30 days.

We may keep a small amount of information longer when the law requires it, or to deal with fraud, abuse or a legal claim. Copies other people made themselves, such as screenshots, are outside our control.

4. Delete some of your data, and keep your account

• A moment: open it, tap the ⋯ menu and tap Delete. Its photos, videos and audio, its likes and its comments are deleted with it.
• A comment: tap the ⋯ next to your comment and tap Delete.
• Your phone number: open Find Friends and turn off phone discoverability. We delete the code we stored for your number.
• Your profile details: edit or clear your photo, bio, links and other TimeVault details in Edit.

For anything else, such as direct messages, your likes or a TimeCapsule, email [email protected] from the email address on your account. Use the subject "Delete my data", include your username, and tell us what to delete. We will delete it within 30 days. Copies in our backups are removed within 30 days after that.
